seattle visits bend (part 1)

i leave pat in a room with my camera and nick lachey playing and stuff happens...

my best weekend so far in bend.
eating.bowling.eating.stomptheyard.fredmeyer.fishing.notcatchinganyfish.skippers-all-you-can-eat.thehill.nap.gettinglost.eating.thenotebook.eating.

what was really awesome was that on friday when we went fishing it was the coldest day yet in bend and it was raining. and we didn't catch any fish. so we abandoned the fishing adventure and decided to go to skippers instead for all-you-can-eat chowder and fish. if you can't catch 'em, eat 'em.

then we decided to conquer pilot butte (the "hill" next to my apartment). going up was fine for the most part, but then pat decided to take the "extreme hiking not even a trail because it goes straight down the hill at the steepest angle known to man" path and i almost die. seriously. i was grabbing at the bushes next to me for dear life as i was sliding down. if my camera wasn't low on batteries i would've tried to tape my near-death adventure.

then watched a good portion of the "survivor man" marathon. discovery channel rules.

later watched the notebook (thanks kat!) which now ranks up there as one of my all-time favorite movies - along with several other select chick flicks and most pixar films.

saturday morning mikey treated us at the victorian cafe which has the best breakfast in town. it's interesting here, it seems as though people drink at breakfast, lunch and dinner. i guess there isn't much else to do...just kidding, kinda.

and then the seattle friends had to leave. i was tempted to ride back up with them, but i knew that all good things must come to an end sometime. perhaps bend visits seattle (part 1) is in the near future.
